Synopsis:
 During his summer vacation, "Wimpy Kid" Greg Heffley, the hero of the phenomenally successful book series, hatches a plan to pretend he has a job at a ritzy country club - which fails to keep him away from the season's dog days, including embarrassing mishaps at a public pool and a camping trip that goes horribly wrong. As the "Wimpy Kid" saga continues, we follow Greg as his summer vacation begins. His intent is to play video games all summer but those hopes are quickly vanquished when his dad has a better idea. He wants Greg and his brothers to do something constructive with their time. Unfortunately Greg lies to his dad about having a job for the summer when his real mission is to get closer to a cute girl in school who only sees him as a "friend." As Greg's little deceit becomes bigger and bigger, he finally learns to tell the truth and take responsibility for his actions.
"Dog Days" is certainly the cleanest of the three "Wimpy Kid" films -- in content that is. The latest episode features themes of honesty, integrity and understanding why others including our parents may become disappointed in us due to our actions. These lessons are to be applauded and we are happy to award this film our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for all ages.

Violence: Silly humorous violence such as a girl hitting boys several times with tennis balls, once in the groin; boy hits his dad in the hand with a wooden mallet; car runs over a boy's foot.
