Synopsis:
An extraordinary journey to the top of the world, To The Arctic 3D is the ultimate tale of survival. The film takes audiences on a never-before-experienced journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her two seven-month-old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home. Captivating, adventurous, and intimate footage brings moviegoers up close and personal with this family's struggle to survive in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, and majestic snow-bound peaks.

Dove Worldview:
This is a wonderful documentary which features amazing footage from the Arctic as it focuses on polar bears and particularly a mother bear and her two cubs. The viewer follows the bears on a journey as the mother is constantly vigilant, prepared to defend her cubs from predators with her own life if necessary. The snow and sky, snow-capped peaks and underwater scenes are beautifully filmed. Sir Paul McCartney's music also adds a nice touch to the movie.

The viewer sees the young cubs wrestle and spar, and majestic water falls. Other wildlife is also featured as Caribou graze on the spring grass and then head to high country due to flies being a problem. We see a bear discover a robotic camera camouflaged in white but he smashes it nevertheless with his powerful strength.

This film is both breathtaking to watch as well as educational. However, contains one scene with a lot of blood which takes place when the bears eat a seal the mother has killed. It is pretty bloody and will be enhanced when seen on the IMAX 3D screens. Therefore we are recommending this film for ages twelve plus and we encourage parents to watch with their children so as to provide guidance regarding various issues which are discussed in the picture. This one will transport you to the beautiful and deathly cold of the Arctic!
