Synopsis: SEVEN DAYS IN UTOPIA follows the story of Luke Chisolm (Lucas Black), a talented young golfer set on making the pro tour. When his first big shot turns out to be a very public disaster, Luke escapes the pressures of the game and finds himself unexpectedly stranded in Utopia, Texas, home to eccentric rancher Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall). But Johnny is more than meets the eye, and his profound ways of looking at life force Luke to question not only his past choices, but his direction for the future.
Dove Worldview: "Seven Days in Utopia" is one of those rare finds among motion pictures these days. It is refreshing to see a well-made feature film that has many simple faith messages in it without being preachy. Luke Chisolm is a young golfer who has lost his focus and needs a mentor. Along comes Johnny Crawford, a wise man who takes Luke under his wing and teaches him the basic lessons he calls "SFT". See it, Feel it, Trust it. With this new-found faith and experience, Luke takes on the challenge of golfing in the San Antonio Open Golf Tournament
Dads and their sons will love this heartfelt story surrounding an up-and-coming professional golfer. The final segments of the movie feature several PGA golfers that you will recognize. We are pleased to award this touching and inspirational film our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for all ages and recognize it with 5 out of 5 Doves for its exceptional quality and message.
