| ChristianCinema.com, Inc. is a motion picture production and distribution company founded in 1999. The website was born out of a desire to connect independent Christian filmmakers with people like yourself.
Making The Best Films In the Industry Available To You in One Place
We have spent years developing relationships with independent filmmakers in order to bring you the best movies and documentaries our industry has to offer. Every title is screened before being added to the database to insure a standard of quality and that it represents a biblical worldview. Our desire is to get the word out about what is happening with Christians in the film industry today and want to encourage the making of more films from a Christian perspective. Some of these films will be obviously evangelistic while others more subtle in how the Gospel and attributes of Jesus are communicated. We believe the Good News not only saves, but transforms. Some of the most powerful films communicate various themes of transformation: redemption, grace, love, hope, healing, and faith to name a few.
When you buy movies from this site you are not only buying a movie, you are helping the ongoing efforts of Christian filmmakers to continue making better films with a message that counts. Thanks for your support! And please tell your friends!
Making Quality Films For The Budget: Raising The Bar
Our company's founders average the creation/production of one full length motion picture per year. Titles to-date include: The Moment After (1999), Mercy Streets (2000), Lay It Down (2001), Time Changer (2002), and SIX: The Mark Unleashed (2003). They worked alongside Namesake Entertainment and TLN to produce Frank Peretti's best selling novel, The Visitation which is distributed by Twentieth Century Fox. In 2006, they produced a sequel to The Moment After (1999). THE MOMENT AFTER 2: The Awakening (2006) is now available on DVD. Their latest project brings Karen Kingsbury's novel, LIKE DANDELION DUST, to the big screen. The movie will be released nationwide to theaters in 2010 and released on DVD by Twentieth Century Fox.
Once you view the films, it is evident that it is their desire to raise the bar in the production value and promotion of faith-based films. In doing so, they surround themselves with some of the brightest talent in Hollywood. They continue to enjoy partnering with like-minded people who share their vision and believe God is just as interested in the 'process' as he is the end product. Their mantra is 'to minister to people on both sides of the camera.'
If you would like to be involved in bringing better films to a wider audience, please use the Contact Us area to let us know. For each project God has provided the means to complete the films through ordinary people doing extraordinary things. And that is exciting!
Statement of Faith
We believe...
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, and that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We also believe...
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Our purpose:
To advance the Kingdom of God.
Our method:
Providing access to and information about Christian movies that will encourage, motivate, and equip the church.
Our approach:
The church is called to be "a light to the world", not to shout at the darkness, run from it, or hide from it. Instead, the body of Christ should emulate His example and model an attractive, inviting, different way of life to those living in the dark valley of unbelief.
To fulfill our purpose, we try to keep the following statements in mind:
"As the church anchors itself in truth and moves in love, it will become what it was meant to be: a countercultural, redemptive, transforming community that begs to be reckoned with."
- Bill Hybels
"The reason for the eager response to the early Christians was that they modeled and mediated a quality of life that was attractive, magnetic, and powerful. People who heard them talk about their new life in Christ, empowered by His living Spirit, wanted what these Christians had found. Their vibrancy, their love and acceptance of each other, and their indomitable vision and purpose created a hunger in people to taste the quality of life they exemplified. The life they were living with the resurrected Christ and with each other demanded an explanation and a response. People wanted to live the way Christians were living. What a response! Believers were added to the church, healing power was unleashed, and Jerusalem was shaken by a pervading spiritual revival."
- Lloyd Ogilvie
"Salt makes one thirsty. Does your life make others thirsty for the water of life?"
- Billy Graham
